Community Souping

Community Souping process is dependent on an active community being present. Therefore, it is a periodic ArtSoup method and configured upon the preferences and requests of communities. In the first 1.5 years, ArtSoup has hosted 4 different communities, each having different timeframes and number of artworks created. As before, the timeframe and details of each community will be announced by ArtSoup before starting the creation process.

One-off Souping

One-off Souping is a continuous ArtSoup method that is running on 30 day cycles. The 30 day cycle begins by Open-Call to all artists on social media including newcomers, as well as Alumni Artists (experienced ArtSoup Artists). The Open-Call stays open for 20 days, during which newcomers can apply for Artist role on ArtSoup Discord and artists who already have the role can apply for Souping via designated Discord Channel. By the end of these 20 days, all participants are expected to have submitted their 1st pieces for One-off Souping and ArtSoup team draws a raffle to determine the artist pairings. With the pairings determined, every pair of artists are invited to their exclusive Discord channel and their respective artworks are handed to complete in the upcoming 10 days.

Blender Souping

Blender Souping is also a continuous ArtSoup method that runs in monthly cycles throughout the whole year. However, Blender Souping does not require artists to apply for it. With Blender Souping the artworks are selected by proposals made by ArtSoup Artists and ArtSoup Collectors (Soupsters) on Discord. The #blender-proposals channel always stays open on ArtSoup Discord and at the beginning of each month ArtSoup team compiles the proposals from past 30 days to present to Soupsters. Out of all proposals, Soupsters' votes narrow the selection down to 10 artworks from different artists and if the artworks meet the criteria at the time of purchase, they are collected by ArtSoup. From there on ArtSoup team gets to work and blends these genuine artworks using an AI algorithm to create fresh, new Blender Soups.
